Emma and Mike’s Stunning Wedding at Iscoyd Park

I’m absolutely thrilled to share the wonderful story of Emma and Mike's wedding at the beautiful Iscoyd Park. This wedding was truly special, and as an Iscoyd Park wedding photographer, I am super excited to walk you through the day and highlight some of the unforgettable moments that we captured. So, grab a cuppa, sit back, and enjoy the story of their day throughout this blog post.

The Perfect Venue: Iscoyd Park

Iscoyd Park is a hidden gem where North Wales, Shropshire, and Cheshire meet in the wonderful town of Wrexham. This venue is a dream come true for any photographer, with its breathtaking gardens and perfectly restored interiors. Emma and Mike fell in love with Iscoyd Park immediately, and it's easy to see why. The Garden Room, with its light and airy atmosphere, was perfect for their ceremony. The Coach House provided a cosy, intimate setting for their wedding breakfast, creating the overall relaxed vibe that they really wanted.

Getting Ready at Iscoyd Park: Bride and Groom Preparations

The day started with Emma's Bridal preparations in the luxe bridal suite upstairs. Surrounded by her bridesmaids, there was a real sense of excitement and joy. Gemma Baxter did a fantastic job with Emma's makeup, enhancing her beautiful dewy complexion , while Kirin Jones worked magic with her hair, creating a style that perfectly complemented her elegant dress from Martina Liana, sourced from Along Came Eve. Her veil, a delicate piece by Nieve Couture, added the final touch of sophistication.

Meanwhile, Mike and his groomsmen were getting ready in the library. Dressed in a sharp suit from Charles Tyrwhitte, Mike looked every bit the dashing groom. His groomsmen, in their stylish suits from Moss Bros, added to the classic, sophisticated look of the wedding party.

The First Look: A Moment of Calm Together

Before the ceremony, Emma and Mike shared a private first look in the Drawing Room. This intimate moment was one of the highlights of the day. It was a beautiful pause, a moment of calm and connection before the festivities began. Capturing their reactions to seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day was truly special, even more so with it being so private and separate from all of the guests.

The Ceremony: Garden Room Elegance

The ceremony took place in the Garden Room, a space that was perfectly styled by Uplit Events and The Event Edit. The light-filled room was adorned with stunning floral arrangements by Linden Lea. Emma's bouquet was particularly touching, featuring a ribbon with her late mother’s handwriting, adding a personal, touching and emotional element to the day.

Wedding Breakfast: Cosy Coach House

After the ceremony, guests moved to the Coach House for the wedding breakfast. The atmosphere here was warm and inviting, perfectly suited to the intimate gathering Emma and Mike envisioned for their day. The food was simply incredible, offering a personalised menu that reflected the couple's tastes and preferences, steering away from the traditional three-course meal.

Standout Moments of the Day

One of the most touching moments of the day was Emma’s tribute to her mother. She had a ribbon made with her mother's handwriting, which was wrapped around her bouquet. It was a beautiful way to honour her memory and keep her presence felt throughout the day.

Another standout moment was the arrival of a vintage red Mustang, which Emma hired. This classic car added a unique and stylish element to the wedding, making for some fantastic photo opportunities for us all.

Fun and Festivities: The Evening Celebration

As the evening rolled in, the celebration then continued back in the Garden Room. The DJ from The Wedding Sounds DJ ensured that the dance floor was packed all night long, expertly blending Emma and Mike's diverse music tastes. The photobooth from The Booth That Rocks was a hit with the guests, providing endless entertainment and laughter.

The Perfect Supplier Team at Iscoyd Park

Emma & Mike’s wedding was brought to life by an incredible team of suppliers who are listed throughout this blog but who really deserve plenty of shoutouts. Emma's dress and veil were from Along Came Eve, with shoes by Charlotte Mills completing her stunning look. The rings, beautifully crafted by Kayes Jewellers, were a symbol of their commitment and love for each other. The flowers by Linden Lea were a visual masterpiece, adding to the elegance and charm of the day. The groomsmen looked sharp in their suits from Moss Bros, while the bridesmaids dazzled in dresses from Kate's Dresses.

The venue styling by both Uplit Events and The Event Edit transformed Iscoyd Park into a magical setting. Gemma Baxter’s makeup artistry and Kirin Jones's hair styling made Emma and her bridal party look their absolute best. Prestige Wedding Cars provided the stylish vintage Mustang which added a touch of classic elegance to the day. The Booth That Rocks' photobooth was a source of endless fun, and the DJ from The Wedding Sounds DJ kept the energy high throughout the night. A talented friend captured the day on video, ensuring that every precious moment was recorded.

Capturing the Magic at Iscoyd Park

As an Iscoyd Park wedding photographer, working with Emma and Mike was an absolute joy. Alongside the talented Sophie of Wyldbee Photography, we made sure to capture every magical moment. From candid shots during the bridal prep to the emotional first look and the epic confetti shot, we were there for it all. Emma and Mike were so comfortable in front of the camera, which made our job a complete breeze.

Words of Wisdom from The Bride, Emma

Emma shared some valuable advice for future couples:

“Despite all the best planning and will in the world, things will go wrong on the day, and you just have to roll with it - it’s still the best day of your lives and the most perfect day! Try to soak it all in - but don’t feel guilty if you can’t! The day goes by so fast and is such a blur. Seeing pictures and videos brings all the emotions and memories right back. Don’t worry about trying to speak to all of your guests - make sure you spend every possible moment with your new husband or wife! We don’t regret sticking together for 99% of the day. Get guests to take pictures and videos too - after the ceremony, of course! We’ve got some fantastic pictures and videos that our guests took that are some of our favorites.”
