Garthmyl Hall is more than just a country house

Garthmyl hall is becoming a venue synonymous with beautiful, unique and memorable weddings. Steph and Matt's wildflower themed wedding was no exception. Garthmyl Hall may seem like just another country manor but within it's grounds you are treated to woodland, a walled garden full of wild flowers, rolling fields looking out across Powys, a white washed walled summer house for the more contemporary look and uniquely decorated rooms which add an eclectic touch to wedding photos. So, when I say it's a photographers playground, I mean it.

Their day

Steph and Matt wanted a day that was laid-back yet fun, and that's exactly what they achieved. Their 'I do's' took place within the walled garden, but they chose to arrange all the chairs in a circle so everybody could get involved. They swapped out the traditional ceremony form for a ceremony hosted by their best friend, peppered with personal anecdotes and beautiful readings from friends and family members. They topped it all off with a huge sing-a-long to 'with a little help from our friends', by the Beatles. Drinks and canapés awaited them on the lawn as they danced and boogied their way down the aisle. What followed was an afternoon of lawn games, fun and raucous group photos in the walled garden, intimate and laid-back portraits in the rolling fields and more laughs than you can imagine.

The party

The evening began with the most hilarious speeches and even a song from the best man, delicious food, and more drinks on the lawn. The evening turned into the night in a blink of an eye and out came a dessert table to rival all dessert tables - After everyone was done enjoying all the delightful sweets created by ......... the night concluded with a sneaky change of outfit for Steph and a whole lot of crazy dance moves on the dancefloor.
