Molly & Sam

Silverholme Manor

Windermere

An American / British outdoor wedding at Silverholme Manor

The Couple

Molly and Sam are one of those couple who you instantly LOVE, they are so in sync with each other and so in love that you can't help being drawn in by their energy. Add in the fact that they are just the loveliest people ever and you have a couple who you instantly connect with.

Molly and Sam's love story is unique and incredible, they met on a well known dating site 10 years ago, from here they took their relationship to MSN (remember those days guys) - Sounds pretty normal right? Wrong! They lived over 4000 miles apart! Sam lived in the UK and Molly in America. They didn't let a silly little thing like the Atlantic ocean keep them apart. Their patience, determination and immediate love for one another meant they managed to make a long distance relationship work. They even navigated meeting the parents across continents. I mean WOW!

Their day at Silverholme manor

Molly and Sam managed to blend both British and American wedding traditions into their outdoor wedding at Silverholme Manor. With an emotional, nerve wracking 'first look' on the patio and a simple yet emotional celebrant led outdoor ceremony, it was the perfect kick off to a perfect wedding day. It's well known that the Lakes is the rainiest place in the UK but, the weather, was luckily hotter than the sun. This meant that everyone was able to enjoy chatting on the lawn sipping champagne and eating canapés. With a gorgeously styled open sided marquee for the guests to relax in whilst I whisked Molly and Sam away for some portraits by the Lake.

We walked, chatted and captured some gorgeous moments whilst people paddle boarded, swam and boated on the lake. The whole lake was full of energy and excitement at the warm weather. Their drinks reception was followed by four hilarious speeches - The Brits definitely brought the sarcasm and swearing....We really have a unique sense of humour don't we? Whilst the American's made the whole tent misty eyed!

The reception

The weather was the gift that kept on giving in the form of a beautiful golden hour, so, of course more portraits took place in the evening. Followed by a fun, flirty first dance, an emotional father, daughter dance and a party to rival all parties overlooking the stunning views of the Lake.
